Hotel Matsushima Taikanso - Matsushima (Miyagi)

I recently had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel. I was immediately impressed by the amazing view from my room, overlooking the mountains and the beautiful Matsushima Bay. The room itself was very well laid out and comfortable, with a wide window allowing me to fully enjoy the picturesque scenery. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, going above and beyond my expectations. When I accidentally left my wallet in the room after checking out, they quickly found it and kept it safely at the front desk until I returned. I was truly grateful for their attentiveness and care.

We stayed at this hotel on our recent trip and were impressed by the breathtaking views of the ocean from our room. the bathroom was spacious and clean, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. the breakfast buffet had a wide selection of Japanese and Western options and was of high quality.

The hotel lacked wheelchair accessibility, making it difficult for our disabled family member to enjoy all the amenities.

We had a lovely time during our romantic escape. Our room had breathtaking views of the sea, and the buffet breakfast was generous and full of fresh local produce. the hotel shuttle was free and frequently available, making it easy to explore the nearby town.

The lack of in-room wifi was inconvenient, and we were disappointed that the napkins in the restaurant were paper rather than cloth.

Amazing room with lovely views. Excellent service from friendly staff. Beautiful hot spring baths. Japanese restaurant dinner was delicious.

Nothing not to like.

The hotel rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with comfortable bedding and nice amenities. The view from some of the rooms is breathtakingly beautiful, showcasing the scenic view of the bay and its islands. The location is convenient, offering a free shuttle service that covers most of the popular attractions. The meal options are plentiful and delicious, with something to suit every taste.

The decor of some rooms is a bit outdated and can be improved. The air conditioning in the rooms is not adjustable, and the staff may not speak fluent English.

I had a wonderful stay in this hotel with its amazing view of nature. The hotel is situated up on the hill so I could enjoy both the city and the scenic beauty around it. The facilities provided by the hotel such as the cleanliness of the room and the breakfast spread were perfect. I appreciated the staff's attentiveness to my needs and the complimentary shuttle transportation to the nearby JR train station was very convenient.
